- In colonizing the solar system living off the land, using robots to prepare for and assistant human pioneers and many other needs must be addressed in new ways. The crater cap colony concept seeks to address many of these needs aptly.

This is a simple view of a temporary crater cap which would greet manned ship upon arrival nearby. forming liquid water and atmosphere in crater would have begun. Much would remain to do.
